The joy of being in such large airports as Seattle's SEATAC and London's Heathrow is that you're bound to be surrounded with people speaking a different language than you are. After I'd said goodbye to my parents (quick but sad moment!), found my gate, and bought a rather large and very delicious coffee, I found myself passing the two hours until boarding by listening to the family behind me speak what I'll guess was Russian, and to the young couple beside me speak what I'll guess was French. When I finally boarded, the person sitting next to me (with an empty seat between us) was a fellow college student from Seattle, but studying at St. Andrews University in Scotland. So, you see, it's a small world.
Anyway, now I'm here in Swindon, England, where life is simple and perfect and where houses you pass are white with black trim, covered in climbing flowers, and named "Bramble Cottage." It's the little things that make life life, you know?
Ta-ta for now. Photos to come soon...
